LOST IN THE CROWD

LOST IN THE CROWD

Everyone’s looking for something
But they won’t put in the work to have it

These little escapades you run with just laugh in your face
So wake up and fuck yourself
Have a cup of coffee and read the tabloids
You’re alone and going nowhere

They say we lie in the bed we make
What happens when someone else made it?

No matter what version of myself I pretend to be
I can’t get away from this rate race
I’m not chasing the same empty air they are
But they won’t let me get through the crowd

The mirror lies to us all
So smash the glass and dare seven years of bad luck
I can’t speak for you
But I’ve had my fill
I’m better off alone and going everywhere
